Feedback

We receive a lot of email on JewishCafe.com, including praise for service provided, the site, features, friendly members, etc; we also receive feedback on ways to improve the site and suggestions which might help. We welcome your suggestions, although we're not always in a position to make the site meet each person's specific needs. A couple of points to note:

  • The multiple choice questions and answers do not fully describe one person. They are meant to be a starting point to help match you to other members. The written section of your profile is meant to allow you to more fully describe yourself and your interests. You can tell others about your hobbies, musical interests, what Judaism means to you, your job, etc, in more detail than the multiple choice section allows. Please see write an appealing profile for some great tips :) Don't forget to post your photos for a complete profile.
  • JewishCafe.com, although a great site, is not perfect - although we're pretty close :) - and we strive to make your experience on the Cafe the best it can be. We have some new features and changes we're planning on adding, but each change requires a lot of money and a lot of time to implement.
  • If you have any questions about features, how to use the site, send mail, etc, please see your FAQ/HELP page. We've likely answered your question already :)
  • If you have any feedback please write to [email protected] We welcome your feedback and will keep it for future reference. We thank you in advance for your comments.

Finding your profile on the Cafe

If you can access your account or if your time has recently expired, then your profile is listed on JewishCafe.com for others to see.

However, if you are trying to find your profile by using the "quick search" on our homepage, http://www.jewishcafe.com, you may not find your profile listed. This is because the "quick search" is VERY BROAD (it searches by age and gender only); plus, all searches are limited to 300 matches, so you may not find your profile listed among the thousands of profiles we have who fit the broad criteria you're searching. The point of the "quick search" is just to allow a non-member to get a glimpse inside the Cafe without first having to join. It is not intended as a search for a specific person.

    Where is my profile listed?

Remember: if you can access your account or if your time has recently expired, then your profile is listed on JewishCafe.com for others to see. The best way to find your profile is to log in and then go to "find member". Then enter your username in the space provided or click on "See your own Profile" on the left and you will see your profile posted :-)

In addition to the find member tool, there are several other search tools which members can use to find members: who's on, quickmatch and of course search. Members tend to search on 5-10 different criteria - e.g. state/province, marital status, religious affiliation, etc, which our "quick search" on the homepage does not have (this detailed search is one of the many benefits of membership!).

    • Click here to log in* and use the detailed members search and you can search for your profile :-)
    • Click here to log in* and use the "who's on" tool in the members section, where you'll find your profile listed
    * you need to have a profile with time in your account to enter the members' section

What is the best way to get others to notice my profile from the thousands of profiles on the Cafe?

First, you need create your own profile. Once you've done that, the best way to get others to notice you is to log into your account and write to those you are interested in getting to know. That's what the Cafe is all about :-) Also make sure you post your photos - this really helps draw attention and indicates to many members you are serious about searching.

Tip: The more active you are, the longer you stay on the site, the more letters you send, the more instant messages you initiate and reply to via the Who's On page and the more active you are in the chat rooms, the higher your chances of getting noticed and meeting others.
